The inauguration was attended directly by Hasyim M. Nur, Vice President of External Affairs, along with a team from PT. CPI. Avicenia Darwis as Chair of SKK Migas Sumbagut, Representative of K3S in Riau Province and Riau Riau Islands. Head of the ESDM Service, Indra Agus Lukman, was present representing the Governor of Riau and Agung Nugroho from Commission V DRPD Riau Province as well as other invited guests, while Prof. Syafrinaldi, Deputy Chancellor I UIR Dr. Syafhendri, Deputy Chancellor II UIR Dr. Asrol and Deputy Chancellor III Ir. Rosyadi M.Sc, Chair of YLPI Trustees H. Mukni and YLPI Secretary Sudarmo Hasan.

The inauguration of the oil and gas center office began with cutting the ribbon by the Head of Sumbagut Skkmigas Avicenia Darwis accompanied by Prof. Syafrinaldi, Hasyim, Head of the ESDM Service.

The idea to build an Oil and Gas Center was initiated by Mr. Avicenia (Head of Skkmigas Sumbagut) who was supported by PT. CPI since mid-2019. This oil and gas center was built by PT. CPI was phased in in 2019 and will continue in 2020. Phase I has been completed, namely the receptionist, SKMIGAS booth, and PT booth. CPI. In phase II, an office, mini library, discussion room, meeting room complete with teleconference facilities, prayer room, pantry, and bathroom, as well as other office equipment, will be built to support the oil and gas center’s activities.

This oil and gas center was built with the aim of becoming an information center about the oil and gas industry for students, lecturers, students, and the general public. “Monthly routine activities have been prepared and will be carried out jointly by UIR, CPI, and SKk migas so that the existence of this oil and gas center is useful for many parties who want to know in detail about the oil and gas industry which is the main income for Riau Province,” he concluded.
